BCCI issues tender for Indian cricket's TV production rights

MUMBAI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has issued a tender notice inviting bidders to grab the television production rights for the Indian cricket.


Meanwhile, Nimbus Sport holds the telecast rights till 2014. Until the previous cycle, Nimbus was holding both the telecast as well as the TV production rights.


The bid document for the TV production rights can be availed from the BCCI headquarters Cricket Centre upon payment of Rs 500,000 wherein the last date for bid submission is 30 July.


According to the tender notice, all bidding parties will need to fulfill eligibility criteria and other requirements as specified in the bid document.


It further adds that the BCCI reserves the rights, at its discretion, to cancel or amend the entire bidding process at any stage and/or all bids without providing any reasons, including calling for a re-tender.
