KOLKATA: NXTDigital reported consolidated revenue of Rs 259.9 crore for the third quarter (Q3), 10.24 per cent up quarter-on-quarter basis. The EBIDTA for the quarter stood at Rs 62.48 crore, recording a growth of 20.85 per cent. However, the consolidated revenue for the same quarter in previous financial year was Rs 318.21 crore.

Operating EBIDTA margin for the quarter stood at 24.04 per cent as compared to 21.93 per cent in the previous quarter and 17 per cent in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Overall, the company ended the quarter with a profit after tax of Rs 32.23 lakh.

NXTDigital Media Group chief executive officer Vynsley Fernandes said that in the quarter gone by, the organisation laid greater emphasis on implementation of the converged media strategy.

“We looked to leverage our video subscriber base to grow our broadband business whilst driving cross-selling and strategic alliance partnerships in key cities. Our deeper engagement with our franchisees and a focus on providing innovative packaging has continued to keep us on the growth course, especially in key semi-urban markets where we have a significant presence,” he added.

The distribution platform operator focused on innovative packaging to drive ARPU growth. The growth in ARPUs in DAS III markets, one of NXTDigital’s key markets, validates the initiatives, seeing ARPUs grow by around 10 per cent against Q3 of last fiscal, the company said.

Its broadband customer base surpassed half a million subscribers in Q3, a growth of 26.2 per cent over Q2 and a robust growth of 71.1 per cent over Q3 of the previous fiscal. The company initiated its infrastructure sharing business model with multi-system operators in Q3, which it expects to be a key driver in 2021.
