TV18 net profit up by 40% in Q3 FY 20
TV18 Broadcast has reported a 40 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 205.16 crore for Q3 FY19 from Rs 146.96 crore in the previous year. Its consolidated operating revenue stood at Rs 1,425 crore in Q3 FY20 against Rs 1,275 in Q3 FY19. TV18 chairman Adil Zainulbhai said, "Our emphasis on delivering value to the consumer, expanding the partner ecosystem and raising profitability were the primary milestones during the past quarter."

Sports genre becomes top gainer in Chrome DM week 1 of 2020
Sports genre has become the top gainer in week 1 of 2020 of Chrome Data Analytics and Media data. The genre grew by 8.48 per cent. In this genre, DD Sports channel gained the highest OTS with 98.6 per cent in all India 1 lakh+ market. OTS is the actual census-based percentage connectivity of a channel spread across 81 million homes, as reported by Chrome DM, across analogue cable, digital cable, and DTH.

Bombay HC grants no interim relief in IBF's NTO case; matter posted for 22 Jan
After the broadcasters moved to Bombay High Court on Monday, the high court has issued notice to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for filing response. The matter has been listed for next hearing on 22 January. No interim relief till the next hearing. The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), along with other broadcasters, had filed a writ petition in the court against TRAI.
