| Star World show Cover Story will present Anupam
Kher this week. The show to be aired on 5 September at 10 pm will
have Anupam Kher in a frank tête-à-tête with anchor
Vir Sanghvi as he shares incidents of his struggling years, his unsuccessful
business venture, his acting assignments abroad and his very successful
autobiographical play, Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai and his dream
of opening an acting school.
His
talent has been evident not only in the Hindi film industry but
also in overseas production and in the Indian theatre scenario.
But Anupam Kher is a personality with many faces. Apart from being
the best screen actor and a successful television anchor, he is
also the Chairman of the Censor Board and the National School of
Drama and the recipient of the recently awarded Padmashree, says
an official release.

Twenty years back did you think you would make it this big?
Twenty years back
I never thought! It's not the question of
making it big, but I never thought I would make it so far.
You had bell palsy. Half your face was paralyzed. How did it happen?
This happened while I was shooting for Hum Aapke Hain Kaun.
Day and night, all over the place I was shooting for the movie.
Then one day in the morning I saw water running out of my mouth
involuntarily. It was the most frightening part of my life.
How did you go through it?
I think because of my optimism. I thought that I have to be ok.
Lets talk about your highs in your life.
Life is always a high for me, which is why I have survived. This
is my 20th year in cinema. The highs have been that during the low
period, came some of my best works! One, was the play 'Kuch bhi
ho sakta hai', I think it was one of my finest work as an actor.
And the other is a script I wrote about a father and son. I am happy
with the films I have done here and abroad, the play is doing well
and now I have finally decided to open an acting school.
