MUMBAI: Star World's business reality show The Apprentice kicked off last week had sixteen successful candidates arrived in New York to face the challenge of their lives with the hopes of winning a salary of US$250,000 and a dream job - being the president of a Trump Inc Company.

In the first episode, each of the two teams- Protégé (the women's team) and Versacorp (the men's team) were given the task of hard selling lemonade in New York.

According to an official release, the women thoroughly outperformed the men. Sour from their failed lemonade business, the men are anxious to do well in the second round.

This time the onus of leading the men's' team and keeping it one-up is on Jason who is appointed project manager, while Amy will lead the Women's Team. The task this week involves the creation of ad campaigns for Marquis Jets - a private Jet Company catering to the corporate world.

Donny Deutsch, the owner of the famed Deutsch ad agency gives the team a tough task: to create a 30-second promo, in addition to a print campaign and media plan for the Marquis Jet Card. The project managers now have to put to test their creative thinking and their marketing skills together to churn out a campaign that is not only innovative and fresh but also has great persuasive qualities, adds the release.

The Apprentice will air on 24 September 10 pm.
