From 17 September Ten Sports will air the the 35th edition of the Ryder Cup. Over three days 24 of the best golfers from America and Europe will be playing as a team rather than as individuals.

So you could have the US vs Europe.. The last time around Europe had won the Cup. So the US will be hoping to avenge that loss this year on their home turf.

There are a total of 28 matches, with one point being awarded for each match won. The side with the most points at the conclusion of the Ryder Cup Matches wins the Samuel A Ryder trophy. The Ryder Cup takes place at Oakland Hills, Michigan.

Live coverage starts at 5 pm on Friday and Saturday and at 9 pm on 19 September. This will be followed by a repeat telecast of each day’s action on the following day.

Speaking on the initiative Ten Sports senior VP programming Peter Hutton added, "The live telecast of the Ryder Cup, one of the worlds greatest sporting events is yet another initiative by Ten Sports to bring the best sporting action and events around the world to our Indian viewers.

"In the past we have telecast premier golf events like the USPGA Championships, the European PGA Tour tournaments and also extensive coverage of the Indian Tour.”
