| CNN's monthly feature Business Traveller unveils
the latest trends in future travel this month as the programme looks
at how the aviation industry gears up towards improved comfort and
state-of-the-art technology to ease the journey for travellers.
The show airs on Sunday 12 September at 10.30 pm with repeat telecasts
on 16 September at 9.30 pm, 18 September at 7.30 and
19 September at 10.30.
Host Richard Quest embarks on Singapore Airlines long haul direct
flight to New York City, investigating the benefits and drawbacks
of this mammoth 18-hour trip for targeted business travellers.
In a few years time, Boeing's 7E7 Dreamliner and Airbus's A380
will be the world's two newest planes. In this half-hour programme,
produced in association with InterContinental Hotels and Resorts,
Quest looks into the pros and cons of each model aircraft and examines
the options they provide for travellers across the world.
Quest continues on the runway to explore "passenger comfort"
which stands as top priority following a shift in airline focus
on the Business Class sector, pushing First Class aside.
Additionally, the Business Traveller team studies trends
in travel technology by tapping into the surge in biometric identification
and analysing the effect it has on business travellers. The programme
then swerves into the hospitality industry, looking at the architectural
revamp of traditional hotel rooms into a contemporary business friendly
abode.
