| The Apprentice, the business reality show got
everyone to believe that 'sex' sells in any market. In last week's
episode each of the two teams; Protégé (the women's
team) and Versacorp (the men's team) were tested on their negotiation
skills.
The winners were none other than the women, who showed that a little
flirting goes a long way. Tune in on 8 October at 10 pm on Star
World to find out whether the women will continue having things
their way.
The mission this time was to manage a night's shift at Planet Hollywood,
a 50,000 square foot restaurant with over 250 employees, not to
mention a tourist hotspot.
Jessie, the project manager had wisely divided her team into two
smaller groups as a step towards lesser conflicts and more efficiency.
Likewise, the men had a field team consisting of Bowie, Kwame and
Nick; and an office team to call the plays. However, project manager
Sam's management style seemed to frustrate the rest of the guys
and this cost the team leader his spot on the show.
The women would be up first and go to work that same day. The men
would takeover the next day. The team that made more money for the
restaurant, versus the same time the previous year, would win the
task. Even though Nick was the one with the most restaurant experience
in the group, he nominated Kwame as Project Manager.
On the women's front Katrina is nominated to lead from the front.
The men, vastly outnumbered due to the repeated firings from their
team, attack the task with gusto. But ultimately it's 'The Donald'
who decides who's in trouble this week.
