Max to premiere 'Gangajal' on 8 May

Continuing with its trend of world TV premieres in its maha movie slot, this Saturday, Max is geared up to provide its viewers with an action-packed hit movie - Gangajal at 8 pm.

With a cast comprising Ajay Devgan, Mohan Joshi, Yashpal Sharma and Gracy Singh, Gangajal is made under the direction of Prakash Jha taking inspiration from real life incident that occurred in Bihar way back in 1980.

Max executive vice president and business head Rajat Jain said, "After Devdas, Gangajal is the biggest world television premiere on Max. It is the only Hindi movie channel that has been bringing its viewers world TV premieres of super hit Hindi movies for over a year now. The channel has established itself as the pioneer, having begun this trend of world television premieres, and will continue to acquire and showcase the biggest and best in movie entertainment."

The movie exposes the Indian police system and tells the story of one honest police officer, played by Devgan, who sets out to overthrow corruption. It depicts the feudal rule and corrupt system in Bihar.

The film will have the added attraction of extraaa shots, the Mandira Bedi anchored entertaining segment which presents the tit-bits related to the movie.

With a formidable bank of super hit Hindi films, Max has successfully premiered blockbuster movies such as Lagaan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, and Devdas.
