Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan and Mahima Chaudhury, the story of Baghban revolves around Raj Malhotra, played by Bachchan and his family consisting of his wife Pooja (Hema Malini) and his four sons, says a company release.

Like a gardener (Baghban) who plants a tree and nurses it with the hope that he would be able to bask in its shade when he grows old, Raj Malhotra and his wife Pooja have raised a family of four sons who are now well settled in their respective professions. But on his retirement, none of the fours sons are ready to take up the responsibility.
