The clock will tick away literally on AXN. The broadcaster has
announced that the second season of 24 will air every Monday
from 17 May at 10 pm. Episodes will repeat on Tuesday at noon, 4
pm and on Saturdays at 9 am.
Each episode represents an hour in the day of Counter Terrorism
Agent Jack Bauer played by Kiefer Sutherland. The show resolves
around conspiracies, assassinations and the Central Intelligence
Agency (CIA).
In the first season Sutherland was able to uncover an assassination
plot targeting presidential nominee David Palmer. Now he is pitted
against a nuclear bomb that is set to explode in the span of a day
in the heart of Los Angeles.
As his help is desperately sought to stop a terrorist attack that
threatens the life of thousands, Bauer throws himself into another
dizzy, explosive 24-hour ride that is bound to push him to the edge
of his limits, even as a shadow from his past emerges to taunt him
with a personal vendetta. Adding to his woes is the fact that he
has to cope with his estranged daughter, Kimberly who is caught
up in a whirlwind of her own problems.
Speaking on the programme initiative Sony's assistant VP sales
and marketing Rohit Bhandari who looks after AXN in India added,
"AXN is dedicated to bringing its viewers the best in pacy
and edge-of-the-seat entertainment all year round. 24 is
an exciting and completely unprecedented take on the concept of
reality drama programming."
"It elicited a very good response from viewers in India last
year. Considering this, it goes without saying that dedicated viewers
of 24 are eagerly awaiting the second installment of this
thoroughly gripping and expertly made series."
