Considering that summer is going to be holiday time for kids, the International english movie channel has come out with this theme. They will get an opportunity to watch some of the best and exclusive films on MGM every Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Movies like Life is Beautiful, Race the Sun, Thumbelina and Ping will be showcased during the month of May.

Launching the fest, Zee MGM business head Abhijit Saxena said, "Zee MGM always celebrates movies under themes and festivals. And these themes and festivals have worked for our channel, be it the Jim Carrey Festival or the James Bond Festival or any other festival targeted to our young audience. This theme is targeted at the young viewers during this summer vacations, we are sure they will find them as interesting as the earlier films and watch them with the same degree of enthusiasm".

The festival commences from 5 May with Life Is Beautiful starring Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi, Guistino Durano and Sergio Bini Bustric. Followed by Race the Sun on 12 May starring Halle Berry, Casey Affleck, Eliza Dushku.

Than there is Thumbelina on the 19 May staring Jodi Benson with Gino Conforti. And last but not the least in line comes Ping on the 26 staring Judge Reinhold, Clint Howard, Shirley Jones and Lou Ferrigno.

Zee MGM has access to more than 4,000 film titles of MGM, which is one of the leading studios of Hollywood. The channel seeks to air prime time movies in fixed theme slots. As part of recent initiatives, the channel has broadcast movies that have an excellent star cast but have not had a theatrical release in India.
