The BBC World's technology programme Click Online goes green this week, with a series of reports on technology and the effects it can have on the environment. The episode that covers topics like what happens to computers when they're thrown out, will also review the different ways in which they can be recycled.

Printer cartridges are also reusable, but as UK Cartridge Recycling Association chairman Keith Moss explains, a loophole in the European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive could actually encourage people to throw away more cartridges, instead of recycling them. Click Online assesses the implications.

Click Online is presented by Stephen Cole has its own special microsite at www.bbcworld.com/clickonline, which features transcripts of programme content, links to websites featured in the programme, and the ability to watch either the entire show or individual segments online.
