Doordarshan's news channel will telecast the next edition of its live talk show Seedha Samvaad on 10 January, 2004 from 11 am to 12.00 Noon. The Health and Family Welfare minister Sushma Swaraj will feature in the talk show.

The show will focus on health related issues. An audience from Doordarshan Kendras in Jaipur, Raipur, Bhopal, Guwahati and Lucknow will join in the show. Viewers can ask questions relating to health issues on the toll free telephone number 1600 - 111- 780 on that day.

Meanwhile the broadcaster will also telecast special programmes to mark Pravasi Bharatiya Divas from 9 - 11 January. A curtain raiser will be telecast live on 8 January 2004 at 4.30 pm. This will feature chairman of the organising committee Dr. L.M. Singhvi, Ficci president Amit Mitra and external affairs ministry secretary J.C. Sharma.

On all three days specials will be telecast at 4.30 pm and 11.05 pm. The topics are Diaspora Youth and India, NRIs in the Gulf, Globalisation, the Indian Economy and Diaspora, NRIs Partner in Social Development, Health Care - making India a competitive destination, Entertainment programme showcasing the rich heritage of the Indian Parampara.
