Doordarshan News is covering the ongoing Saarc Summit, being held in Islamabad, live. DD News Channel is telecasting live bulletins, discussions and press reviews from Islamabad. A number of correspondents, anchors and producers have been pressed into service to bring in the latest developments to the viewers across the country, says an official release. The inaugural proceedings of the summit were telecast live on 4 January, 2004.

Distinguished media personalities will also participate in the various programmes with live input from the studios in Islamabad. Exclusive live reports from Islamabad are being telecast all 24 hours in the DD News bulletins using video phones and satellite, says the release. Special bulletins in Hindi and English are being rolled out from Islamabad during the summit and a special wrap up programme will be telecast to sum up the outcome of the summit from Islamabad which will have guests from DD News' Delhi studio as well. e
