Next month Star Movies will continue to entertain with Indian English
movies. They address the Indian Diaspora. The Made In India
time band airs every Sunday at 9 pm.
Jhankaar Beats airs on 1 February. Starring, Sanjay Suri,
Rahul Bose and Shayan Munshi this is a feel good film about three
men and their lives. It's about their women, their inspirations,
their music, their ambitions and above all, their triumphs over
the small hurdles that we call life.

The next to follow is Masala on 8 Feb. It stars Saeed Jaffrey,
Zohra Segal and Srinivas Krishna. East and West collide in this
black comedy about the comical consequences of the culture clash
among the Indian immigrants in urban Canada. An old woman claims
to be able to summon gods through her TV, people wrestle with ongoing
heroin habits, cynical salesman proffer magic, and miracles and
poverty abound.
The other titles in the line-up include Split Wide Open
which will air on 15 February. Such A Long Journey on 22
February stars Roshan Seth, Soni Razdan and Om Puri. This is the
story of a well-intentioned father played by Seth who is losing
control over his family. When a friend from the past asks him for
a favour he innocently accepts. Little does he realise that the
favour involves depositing a chunk of potentially illegal money
into a bank account. By the time he realises the gravity of his
situation, it may be too late. Mr & Mrs Iyer on 29 February
stars Rahul Bose, Konkoka Sensharma and Bhisham Sahni.
