CNNs chat show Talk Asia will featuire 59-year-old
Sarod Maestro Amjad Ali Khan. The show airs on 4 December at 9:30
am, 7 pm and at 10:30 pm on 5 December at 8:30 pm and on 6 December
at 9 am.
He talks to host Lorraine Hahn about his father, who himself was
a renowned Sarod player and the teacher of Khan. The maestro also
recounts performing for the Dalai Lama as one of his career highlights
and shares his passion for his craft and unique heritage.
He says, I am trying to connect to the world through sound,
through music. I want people to have peace especially in this time
when everything is so destructive; people have become full of hatred
and arrogance. And I feel that they should think about the future
generation and I think they should listen to music, because music
