SaharaOne will be telecasting the Mrs India-World beauty pageant
on Sunday, 19 December. The curtainraiser will be aired at 7.30
pm followed by the crowning at 8 pm.
The winner Jeevikka Shah will participate in the Mrs World pageant
at Amby Valley in February 2005. The second runner-up for this event
is Dr Sapna Sharma and the first runner-up is Arunima Dutta.
Launched officially for the first time this year by Percept D’Mark,
Mrs India-World saw the winner being crowned after an extensive
countrywide search from the four zones – north, south, east and
west – to ensure that every married woman in the country had an
opportunity to participate in the pageant and represent India.
The winner of Mrs India-World, will participate in the international
Mrs World pageant where married women from more than 50 countries
compete to celebrate the beauty, grace, charm and family values.
Aditi Gowitrikar who represented India at the Mrs World event in
2001, feels that this is one event that fulfills the quest "for
the total woman, resplendent in her beauty, intelligence, sensitivity,
feminity, determination and resourcefulness."
Julie Templeton, Mrs America 2005, is as excited to be part of
an event which showcases some of the world’s most beautiful married
women. "It's a great feeling seeing a country that is at one,
ancient and modern and see the emerging Indian woman combining the
best of both worlds. This is also a chance for the women of the
world to see India more closely and for the modern Indian women
to meet with her counterparts in the global village," she enthuses.
