BBC will roll Extra Time Olympics Special by
Hard talk from 9 to 13 August with all former Olympics sportsmen.
The place would be substituted by Rob Bonnet talks to International
Olympic committee's Athletes' Commission, chairman Sergey Bubka.
The talk would feature about his pole vault career, the problem
of drugs in sport and whether athletes themselves should do more
to blow the whistle on those who cheat. The programme is schedule
for 9 August.
David Eades will have a discussion with former Olympic
gymnast, Nadia Comaneci on 10 August. Extratime speaks to
Comaneci about her Olympic achievements and life under the repressive
Ceausescu regime, which eventually caused her to leave for the United
States in 1989.
Extratime travels to Australia to meet the
former Olympic swimmer Dawn Fraser and the talk would be conducted
by interview Rob Bonnet on 11 August. Recently, the former swimmer
wrote in her autobiography, "one hell of a life".
Former Olympic athlete Herb Elliot Herb would speak
to Extratime at Olympic Park in Melbourne, describing his
approach to running and the intense self-analysis that propelled
him to success but eventually left him bored with running on 12
August.
Former Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz shares with Extratime about
his legacy, the issue of drugs in sport. This programme is schedule
on 13 August wherein his memories of the hostage crisis in Munich
that led to the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes at the hands of the
Palestinian group Black September.
