Star Movies has an ace up its sleeves. Star's English movie arm is all set to premiere, the Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn starrer, The Banger Sisters, barely weeks after its theatrical release in India.

The comic flick will air on Friday, 27 August at 9 pm. It is all about a funny little slice of life with some truly excellent acting. The Banger Sisters' is the collision of two women's world- one who's living in the past, and one who's hiding from it and together they learn the value of living in the moment, says a company release.

The story revolves around two best friends Suzzette (Goldie Hawn) and Vinnie (Susan Sarandon) who were affectionately nicknamed "The Banger Sisters". They partied hearty with practically every rock star of the era, who mattered, in the late 60's and early 70's

In 2001, Suzette is still her free-spirited self, and after losing her job as a barmaid at an L A rock club, she decides to look up Vinnie, whom she hasn't seen for 20 years. Upon her arrival, Suzette discovers Vinnie isn't quite the same person who used to chase any man with long hair and an electric guitar. Now going by her given name of Lavinia, she's a straight laced social worker with a lawyer for a husband and two teenage daughters, none of whom know a thing about her wild and crazy past, adds the release.
