| This Thursday, Zee will premiere RGV Corp's Ek
Hasina Thi at 8 pm. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, this flick stars
Urmila Matondkar and Saif Ali Khan. Although the movie deals with
a common subject- the fury of a woman scroned, the treatment given
is different from the Bollywood flicks so far.
 It
starts as a love story of handsome Karan (Saif Ali Khan) and Sarika
(Urmila Matondkar). Blindly in love, Sarika unknowingly plays partner
to criminal Karan. After being draged into the muck, Sarika is abandoned
by Karan.
But when the truth finally dawns on her, Sarika transforms herself
from a meek to a hard-as-nail-girl and begins her vendetta against
Karan. She is helped by a female associate played by Pratima Kazmi
who gives a brilliant performance.
The melodrama seen in this movie is quite unusual from those often
seen in some of other women-oriented bollywood films. The music
score for this movie has been given by Amar Mohite.
