After the successful and well-appreciated shows like Awaaj-Rafi Lives, Awaaj-Mukesh Lives and so on, etc is celebrating the birthday of the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar, with Awaaz- Lata Lives on 28 September.

Awaaz is a special series, wherein etc pays respect to the unforgettable voices of Indian cinema through dedicated show, trivia, songs and musical interstitials.

The essence of Awaaz is biographical - but its not just one person’s point-of-view but various people's, with whom the particular artiste interacted with during illustrious career.

In the Mangeshkar special, etc is showcasing two dedicated shows. First show Awaaz - A Journey Called Lata is a half-an-hour dedication and will be aired on 28 September at 1:30 pm. This show will be anchored by singer Sanjeevani who will talk about the achievements and contributions of Mangeshkar to the industry. Sanjeevani will sing some songs of Mangeshkar and explore their origin.

The second show, Awaaz-Lata Lives, which will air on the same day at 8.30 pm, will be anchored by Harish Bhimani. Bhimani is associated with the songstress and has written a book on her.

In this show, he will talk about the queen of melody, reliving her life and its major instances. The programme will be interspersed with the memories of film actresses and their encounter with Mangeshkar. These tales will be followed by her unforgettable songs.

Besides, these two half-an-hour shows, etc will also telecast capsules containing some bytes and songs of the melody queen throughout the day. The channel will also dedicate its back-to-back compilation programme, Geet Gaata Chal to Mangeshkar and run special 90-second capsules of Bollywood Birthmarks to commemorate her birthday.
