Hinduja's In Cablenet is telecasting Ganapati Visarjan. The event
which marks the culmination of the 10-day long Ganapati Festival
and will air live from Girgaum Chowpatty on the occasion of Anant
Chaturdashi. The coverage takes place on 9 September from 4 pm.
An official release informs that the cable network has been bringing
the live coverage of the event for the past seven years. This year,
the channel is ensuring coverage of the event on the much larger
scale, with the event being viewed from south Mumbai right up to
Mira Road on the western side, Thane on the central side and Vashi-Nerul
in Navi Mumbai. The transmission will continue till early next morning
when the last idol is immersed.
IN Cablenet has stated that it has won the distinction of being
the largest cable operation in Asia to service the entire Mumbai
from a single relay point. This year expected viewership is over
70 lakh people.
In Cablenet will use state-of-the-art technology from Girgaum Chowpatty,
one headend at Charni Road. What sets In CableNet's live transmission
apart are its exclusive interviews with dignitaries who visit the
immersion site and spread their message of peace and harmony to
Mumbaikars states the release.
The Ganapati Festival is celebrated throughout Mumbai with passion
and Zeal, with thousands of Ganapati devotees thronging the streets
to catch glimpses of the idols, which emerge from every nook and
corner of the metropolis. They slowly wind their way to the beaches
of Mumbai amidst chants of Ganapati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi
Lavkar Yaa the release informs.
