Jaagruti is story of two women – Gauri and Meenaxi – living contrast lives in different cultures. While Gauri is a very vulnerable woman, whose life is dedicated to her family that comprises her loving husband and son; Meenaxi is a feminist journalist fighting, a lone battle against a patriarchal system.

In the course of events, Meenaxi meets Gauri, and rescues the later from the orthodox belief system that she has been part of for many years.
