MUMBAI: The city of Seville is the scene
for a Scottish and Portuguese invasion as Celtic and Porto meet in
the final of the UEFA Cup, European club football's second most important
competition at 12:00 am on 22 May.
Celtic head into the game well rested and confident after their 6-2
thrashing of Dundee in a Scottish Premier League clash last Wednesday.
Their only major injury worry is over John Hartson who is recovering
from a leg injury. Midfielder Alan Thompson came through the Dundee
game well.
Porto, coached by Jose Mourinho, will be hoping that Portuguese international
midfielder Costinha has recovered from a thigh injury that saw him
leave the field in a league match against Pacos de Ferreira. Costinha
is an integral part of an excellent Porto midfield that includes playmaker
Deco and Paulinho Santos. |
