MTV, the music channel will celebrate Woman's Day by capturing the diverse roles played by women on the silver screen, in its special MTV Woman on Top.

The show, which will be hosted by MTV's most wanted VJ Shonal Rawat , will focus on the many faces of a woman in Indian cinema- be it the doting mother, the loving sister, the pativrata wife , the souten, the vamp or the chudail.

The show will include a vox pop across India which will bring to light how these cliched characters are perceived by people all over, especially women and their answers to interesting questions like " Why are ghosts always women? Would they like to be the other woman ? or Have you ever run around a tree and sung a song ? " to name a few.

The programme airs on 8 March at 10:00 am and 7:30 pm , with a repeat telecast on 12 march at 2:30 pm.
