While the state government is embroiled in the Taj Mahal controversy; the special reports around it are the order of the day. Star News also has been consistently reporting about the uproar around the tourist complex being built behind Taj Mahal in Agra and the subsequent block in the building work by the Minister of Tourism. Next on the agenda from Star's news arm is a comprehensive look at the Indian monuments today, 28 June.

Today 12 pm onwards, Star News will be doing a special nation wide coverage on the maintenance and status of monuments in India, says a company release. With special focus on the monuments like Jaipur's Hava Mahal, Konark Sun Temple, Charminar of Hyderabad, Saanchi Stupa, and monuments in Nalanda, the news channel aims to take a peek at rich culture and history of our country.

Since Taj Mahal is considered as one of the wonders of the world, it is obviously in the public view but the other monuments though being of historical importance in India, are ignored due to lack of resources and proper knowledge. By airing various stories associated with them, like them being the symbol of heritage and the time period they were built in, the channel plans to inform the public via this special report adds the release.
