It's time for the most traditional and arguably most prestigious
grand slam event of the tennis year. Star Sports will have live
coverage of Wimbledon from 23 June to 6 July.
The tournament kicks off without three former champions Pete Sampras,
Richard Kraijcek and Goran Ivanisevic. In their absence defending
champion Leyton Hewitt is tipped as the favourite as there are no
serve and volley players around who can give him trouble. Another
baseliner Andre Agassi who won the tournament in 1992 also has an
excellent shot. In addition there will be the usual Brit pretenders
in the form of Henman and Rusedski.
In the women's draw world number one Serena Williams, does get
the top slot. She is followed by the French Open runner up and winner
Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin-Hardin respectively.
