Fresh after their thrashing of Zimbabwe in the recently concluded
test match series, England will take on Pakistan on home turf in
a three match one day series from 17-22 June. The matches will air
live on Star Sports.
Michael Vaughan leads England for the first time with a clutch
of raw and talented players. Marcus Trescothick and Paul Collingwood
will form the spine of the batting lineup. James Anderson spearheads
the bowling department.
Pakistan won Sharjah earlier this year. The new line up of fast
bowlers may not look as promising as their predecessors, but Mohammed
Sami has been around for a while and his pace and zip has troubled
some of the best batsmen in the world. Yousuf Youhana and Younis
Khan bear the brunt of the run making responsibility.
