A maths genius struggles to battle paranoid schizophrenia while
developing Game Theory. This is the subject of Star Movies' Friday
night premiere A Beautiful Mind. The film airs on 6 June
at 9 pm.
Last year, the film won Oscars for picture, director (Ron Howard),
supporting female actor (Jennifer Connelly) and screenplay. The
year is 1947 and John Forbes Nash played by Gladiator's Russell
Crowe arrives at Princeton for graduate study in mathematics.
He subsequently wins a coveted research and teaching post at MIT,
but is not satisfied. Nash then starts suffering delusions of danger
and grandeur involving the cold war. This affects his marriage to
Connelly.
