MUMBAI: The title of Zee TV's latest offering for its viewers is Awaaz - signifying a sound or a noise. Hopefully it will make a big bang with them.

The network announced the launch of the mega series on 29 July calling it "the biggest offering yet from the Zee TV stable." The show is produced by Antakshari conceptualiser and director old time Zee TV hand Gajendra Singh and is directed by Anil Chaudhary and Arvind Babbal.

The channel has also called upon Navnit Parihar who played the lead in Tara, one of the biggest winners of Zee TV in the mid and late nineties, to play a pivotal role in the series.

A company release says "Awaaz deals with the intricacies of human relationships. It highlights how a single incident can change the destiny of people. It also tries to delve into the transition in relationships that result due to the loss of loved ones."

The other cast members inlcude: Dimple Inamdar, Indu Verma, Ram Kapoor, Pooja Gandhi, Zoya Chaudhary, Rohini Hattangadi, Amit Behl, Rahul Lohani, Sumera, Uday Tikekar, and Yash Sinha.

Speaking on the launch Ms. Apurva Purohit, President-Zee TV said, "Zee TV has always created unique properties like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Antakshari that have successfully captured the attention of people for such a long time. The serial not only tries to breakaway from the usual sas bahu bandwagon but also addresses the vagaries of the ever changing human mind."

Said Singh, " I am really thankful to Zee TV for giving me an opportunity to create this serial. It was a pleasure to lend creative insights and work closely with the cast of the serial."

The series will debut on 10 August at 10 p.m.
