'Aawaz-Rafi Remembered' on etc 31 July

ETC Networks entertainment channel etc has lined up a special programme to commemorate the 23rd death anniversary of legendary singer Mohammad Rafi. The programme Aawaz - Rafi Remembered will telecast on etc on Thursday, 31 July at 8.30 pm.

A press release says that the programme will relive the fond memories of Mohammad Rafi. The 30-minute dedicated programme Aawaz - Rafi Remembered will also have three minute songs and information interstitials from the repertoire of Rafi. The release adds that the programme will take the viewers on a visual depiction of the singer's memorable work and recreate the magic of his unforgettable voice.

Aawaz - Rafi Remembered is billed as a special tribute that features interviews, information, sound bytes and songs that represent the range and repertoire of the master of voice and music. The list of people interviewed includes luminaries such as Khayyam, Sonu Nigam, Pariksheet Sawhny, Mahendra Kapoor and many others will talk about Mohammad Rafi.

The programme will also showcase exclusive comments from Rafi's contemporaries, the industry, his songs, information, pictures of special moments and scenes of his songs. Presented by versatile Suresh Menon, the show will showcase the best of Mohammad Rafi’s songs.

Three-minute interstitials on this great artiste will run throughout the day. These interstitials have comments from his colleagues, people from the industry and youth of today as prelude before Rafi's songs.

During the day, etc will present the gamut of songs that were immortalised by the singer. These capsules, says the release, will enable Rafi’s fans to listen to his songs from sixties to seventies and relive his era of melody and music.
