On 11 January, following his controversial visit to Iraq, actor and director Sean Penn will appear on CNN's talk show Larry King Live. In a one-hour interview the star of Sweet and Lowdown will talk about his recent three-day stay in Baghdad and the potential for war in Iraq. The show airs at 7:30 pm with a repeat at 2:30 pm.

The same day CNN’s People in the News will profile Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. It will feature candid interviews with Iraqi ex-patriots and others who know the man behind the myths and rhetoric.Talking about Hussein a professor at the University of Haifa in Israel Amatzia Baram said, "The secret of his survival is that he is ruthless to the extreme and he will reward you if you serve him absolutely loyally."
