'Bharat Parva' is Sahara's Republic week special

Looks like Sahara has recovered from World Cup fever. The 24 - hour free-to-air Hindi entertainment channel will telecast Bharat Parva -a three-hour show, as a part of its Republic Day week festivities, on 19 January at 7.30 pm.

According to an official release, the show will showcase India's unity in diversity through various vibrant festivals celebrated in different parts of India.

The channel,which has recently switched to digital telecast, has lined up performances of prominent Bollywood stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Rani Mukherjee and Aftab Shivdasani, which will bebased on Indian festivals such as Baisakhi, Maha Shivratri, Eid and Holi.

Star couple Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan will also make their special appearances on the show. Bharat Parva will begin with a laser show set on national song 'Vande Mataram' and end with the stars performing Sahara India Pariwar's silver jubilee song Safar Josh Ka, Khushi Jeet Ki.
