It looks as if business channels are being bitten by the cricket bug. CNBC India has launched its programme called Business of Cricket (BOC) with Anuradha Sengupta (of Trendmill and Storyboard fame) and cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar as hosts.

The panel of experts include former cricketer & current commentator Sanjay Manjrekar; ESPN-STAR Sports presenter Harsha Bhogle;
Tehelka CEO Tarun Tejpal, Nimbus promoter Harish Thawani and
Percept D'Mark CEO Sanjay Lal.

Anuradha Sengupta, a TV magazine specialist, has worked on a whole host of shows in the infotainment domain including the Amul India Show and recent successes such as That's Entertainment.

The five part special will spotlight key issues will attempt to understand the nuances of what is at stake in the business of cricket. Questions like:

- Was the 1996 World Cup the turning point in growing the game so big?
- How much has TV contributed in getting it where it is?
- Will the GCC minimum guarantee of $ 550 million dollars change the valuation of the sport forever?
- Why is the richest cricket board in the world, the BCCI is also the most reviled and is the ugly truth of match fixing dead and buried?
