Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas is set to premiere on Sony Entertainment Television on 27 December at 9 pm. This film marks the grand finale of the 'Celebrating Shahrukh' festival on the channel, which featured blockbuster films of the superstar on Cine Prime every Saturday through December 2003.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai, the film was also nominated at Cannes and received awards across categories in almost all the Bollywood awards in the year 2002.

Devdas is the story of a love greater and beyond everything else... even life. It is the saga of a man, Devdas (Khan) whose love story became a legend for all lovers for generations to come. By far the most expensive Hindi film ever made in the history of Indian cinema, Devdas is based on novelist Sarat Chandra Chatterjee's famous novel.
