While it may not have been the first one to report the black Monday that rocked Mumbai, NDTV will air a special programme Salaam Mumbai to capture the trauma, grief and resilience of a city trying to come to terms with the repeated attacks.

After the twin bomb attacks in Mumbai on 25 August 2003, NDTV 24x7 has planned a special programme anchored by Sreenivasan Jain, says a company release.

The programme scheduled for 31 August at 10 pm is an interactive 30 minute show to be aired live from the Gateway of India --one of the sites of the twin bomb blasts.

It will feature leading voices of Mumbai and a live audience who will reflect the city's ethnic diversity. The show will not only look for answers to the violence but also pay tribute to the spirit of this great city, adds the release.

The show aims to salute the spirit of the country's commercial capital that does not let the repeated attacks disrupt the lives.
