BBC World will bring viewers closer to some famous names in sport
courtesy Extra Time. This is a series of interviews which
will air every Saturday at 1 pm and 7 pm and Monday's at 3 pm.
The first episode airs today. The guest is sprinter Frankie Fredericks
from Namibia. He has the distinction of having beaten Michael Johnson
the greatest 200 metre runner. He is now looking at winning his
first Gold medal at an Olympic Game next year in Athens. The question
remains as to whether he possesses the edge in a sport where victory
or defeat takes place in the blink of an eye.
On 26 April MD SFX Sports Agency Jon Holmes takes centrestage.
The agency has superstars like David Beckham and Michael Owen on
their books. Agents in the UK unfortunately have acquired a bad
reputation for themselves. They are influential in the million dollar
deals signed by stars.
