In a bid to offer specialized knowledge of art and culture to its viewers, Doordarshan will telecast a new series titled The Paintings Of India from 20 April 2003. The 26 episode series will showcase some of the rarest murals and paintings in great detail.

The half hour series will air every Sunday at 11.02 am, on the National Network on DD-1.
