Is Barbie just a doll? Well, not any more. Cartoon Network will be presenting an animation feature starring the globally famous doll Barbie as Rapunzel.

Set in a time of magic and dragons, the story centres on Rapunzel, a lovely and talented seventeen-year-old girl who has the most glorious, long hair the world had ever seen. Rapunzel lives as a servant and a prisoner of Gothel, a jealous, scheming witch. One day, Rapunzel stumbles upon a magic paintbrush and learns of a world outside her own.

The discovery of a small, dusty chest containing a child's silver hairbrush leads this fair and brave maiden on a journey of truth that unravels a web of deception, bringing peace to two warring kingdoms, and ultimately leading her to love.

Rapunzel will air on 2 November at 7 pm, with a repeat on 3 November at 1 pm.
