Mehmood , an actor of yesteryears who personified humour in Bollywood will feature on etc's The Baaps of Bollywood , a show which showcases an artiste of Hindi Cinema every month.

The show which endeavours to trace the personal and professional life of Mehmood the uncrowned king of slapstick comedy, will present the story of his growth in the film industry and the contribution made by him. It will also highlight reasons as to why his talents were not as supportive when he turned producer and later director.

The show anchored by Suresh Menon will give nuance of interesting incidents in Mehmood's life such as the odd jobs done by him including driving someone’s car before taking to films, his first major break in films and how his pairing with Shobha Khote became the relief in otherwise serious films, to name a few.

Intercepted with songs and scenes from Mehmood’s films the show has been split into two parts. The first will be telecast on 14 November at 8.30 PM and the second on 21 November same time with repeats on Sunday at 1.30 pm.
