'Top Gear' back on BBC World

Yesterday BBC World started airing its show for car fans Top Gear after a four year hiatus. Jeremy Clarkson returns as the host and the programme has been extended to an hour to include more variety.

Industry experts, racing drivers, car fanatics and celebrities give their expert opinions to sort out the sleek smooth cars from the duds. New features have ben added to the show. These include Star in a Reasonably Priced Car. The celebrity is challenged to set a time on the Top Gear test track. The track will also be the playground for the show's tame racing driver The Stig who will put perfornamce cars through their paces on this circuit.

As reported earlier by Indiantelevision.com the show introduces two new presenters Jason Dawe and Richard Hammond. Dawe has worked in the car trade for 17 years. He ran a company that trained dealers and manafacturers.

Top Gear airs on Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays at 11 pm, Saturdays at 4 pm and Sundays at 11 pm.
