BBC World will air a series of HARDtalk India specials during
the course of the month.
On 25 November, show host Tim Sebastian will ask foreign affairs
minister Yashwant Sinha while on 26 November, HARDtalk's guest is
senior member of Kashmir's ruling coalition Mehbooba Mufti. Sebastian
travelled to Srinagar to find out what the chances of peace were.
He asks whether the new set up would make a lot of difference.
On 27 November Sebastian continues the Kashmir theme by talking
with Umar Farooq, a Kashmiri Muslim separatist leader. On 28 November,
national security adviser Brajesh Mishra takes the hot seat. Sebastian
asks his opinion of whether intercommunal violence like Gujarat
is a greater threat to the country than Pakistan. The series rounds
off on 29 November in the company of Harmala Gupta, the founder
of CanSupport, the country's first cancer support group. She speaks
about the struggle to deal with the fear, ignorance and suspicion
that surrounds the disease in the country.
