etc has announced that Bollywood star Shilpa Shety is the channel's Star Giraftaar this month.

Star Giraftaar is a special slot on etc, wherein a famous and established Bollywood star appears on the channel to allow the viewers a peek in his or her professional life. The star also unfolds some unknown aspects of their personal life.

Viewers can catch Shilpa talking about herself and giving an interesting description of her childhood, her dreams and personality on etc in the first show on 22 November at 8.30 pm. They can listen to her lighthearted chat, full of laughter and intelligent rejoinders with anchor Suresh Menon in the second show on 27 November at 7.30 pm.

Shetty shot into the limelight with Baazigar. She says, “For me Baazigar was a dream come true. The production house was very good, the directors were excellent and the film was a box office success. Coming from a non filmi back ground I couldn’t have asked for more.”

She goes on to reveal her discomfort with Hindi, how she learnt it as she grew as an actress and how the process is still on with each film. “For Baazigar, I could not even utter one dialogue easily but today I am much more comfortable with Hindi. Unless you are willing to learn you can not better yourself” she says.
