The F-1 Monaco Grand Prix will be telecast live on Star
Sports on 26 May at 5:15 pm.
Star Sports' coverage of the F-1 includes the Qualifying
Race. Forty-five minutes before the main race, David Basheer
will host Raceday, Star Sports' preview show, with
exclusive interviews, race previews together with track
and weather updates. In the post-race show, Chequered
Flag, there will be post-race interviews and highlights,
plus a preview of the next race.
The action comes back to Monaco after being in the turmoil
for the last two weeks. After the furore that was created
at the Austrian Grand Prix, when race leader Barrichello
was ordered to make way for second-placed Michael Schumacher
to pass him just before the finish line, Ferrari director
Jean Todt claimed the move as being within the rules and
in line with Ferrari's desire to have Schumacher win a third
straight drivers' title and fifth overall.
The victory meant Schumacher extended his championship lead
over Montoya to 27 points with Schumacher having 54 points
to Montoya's 27, Ralf Schumacher with 23, Barrichello with
12, Coulthard 10 and Jenson Button of Renault with 8.
