BBC's Mastermind India culminates tonight with the
finals being hotly contested.
Modelled on a British version, the show has become one of
the most popular quiz programmes on the small screen. Hosted
by popular quiz-master Siddharth Basu, who fields some tricky
questions, the show has featured celebrities and media luminaries
from leading publications of the country racking their brains
for the top spot.

The show which began on 9 August 2001 has over a period
of time had contestants choosing a range of subjects like
the history of tea, the career of Simon and Garfunkel, the
adventures of Asterix, the Bodyline series (1932-33), the
emperors of undivided Roman empire, the history of the communist
movement in Kerala and the Falklands Wars.
The show will be telecast at 10 pm today with a repeat telecast
on 26 May at 10 am.
