Network is readying itself to take kids back in time into
Hindu folklore.
With its newest franchise, Cartoon Theatre, it presents
the tale of PANDAVAS – THE FIVE WARRIORS. The serial
which is the winner of the National Award for Best English
Feature Film 2000 and the Second Best Animation Feature
Film at the Vancouver Effects and Animation festival, 2001,
is adapted on one of India’s greatest epics, the Mahabharata.
Telecast in its original 120-minute format, the serial follows
the story of the Pandavas and Kauravas and thereby traces
their dramatic conflict.
Produced by Chennai-based Pentamedia Graphics Limited, the
animated feature has been made using the latest real-time
3D animation technology. With its exotic backgrounds, intricate
sets and action-filled battle scenes, the movie is broad
in scope and grand in conception and promises to be the
perfect entertainer for the entire family.
The serial starts telecast on Sunday, 26 May from 12 pm
to 2 pm and with a repeat airing.
