The
F-1 Austrian Grand Prix will be telecast live on ESPN on
12 May.
The race brings back the battle on the track with David
Coulthard challenging Michael Schumacher once again.
David
Coulthard, who was the winner at Austria's A-1 Ring in 2001
with his victory over Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello,
proved that he was very much a contender for the top slot
for that season. But Schumacher ensured that the final honours
belonged to him as Juan Pablo Montoya of Williams occupied
the second position.
McLaren has proved strong at the A-1 Ring, having won three
of the five GPs here with Coulthard holding the lap record.
Schumacher
currently tops the points standings having won four out
of five Grand Prix this season with the Austrian Grand Prix
the only one on the current calendar that he hasn't had
under his belt.
ESPN's
comprehensive coverage of F-1 also includes the action of
the Qualifying Race. 45 minutes before the main race, David
Basheer will host "Raceday", STAR Sports' preview show,
with exclusive interviews, race previews together with track
and weather updates. In the post-race show, "Chequered Flag",
there will be post-race interviews and highlights, plus
a preview of the next race.
