NGC to air Nick Middleton mission tonight

(Posted on 24 June 2002 5:10 pm)

Want to know the exact meaning of Dry?

Want to meet people who harvest fog for securing water? Watch it on the National Geographic Channel (NGC) today in Going to Extreme: Dry. NGC unravels the mystery by following adventurer and Oxford Geography expert Nick Middleton as he travels to the town of Arica in downtown Chile. The place is known to receive an annual 0.04 inches of rain. If you think that suffices your inquisitiveness, there is more. Nick, not satisfied by the dryness of Arica, undertakes a voyage to the Atacama Desert with hopes of discovering a place drier than Arica.

Going to Extreme: Dry, airs on 24 June at 7:00 pm and on 25 June at 5:00 am.
