In a special arrangement, Home Box Office (HBO) has granted
CNN International the exclusive first international broadcast
rights of its documentary, In Memoriam: New York City,
9/11/01. In India the show will air commercial free
on CNN on 22 June at 4:30 pm, 23 June at 7:30 pm, 25 June
at 6:30 pm and 30 June 7:30 pm.
Produced by Brad Grey Pictures and HBO, the film presents
a unique historical record of the day as seen through the
eyes of former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and
citizens in and around New York City.
With Giuliani as guide, In Memoriam: New York City, 9/11/01
follows the mayor and his staff from their first realisation
about what occurred, through despair to a newfound strength
that emerged in the spirit of a new United States. The documentary
debuted on HBO on 26 May and will air on CNN International's
English language services in Asia Pacific, South Asia Europe,
The Middle East Africa and across Latin America, says a
company release.
